Uranus sculpture by Markus Lüpertz in Folkwang museum Essen, Germany

Uranus dealt with the upcoming shutdown of the coal mining industry in Essen. After each shift, the workers would look forward to the ascent. With the end of coal mining, the finality of the ascent and thus the view into the sky has become irrevocable.
