“Tiger and Turtle opened in 2011 on a landfill of a closed down zinc factory and is one of the best attractions of the Ruhr area. Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth designed the infinity loop structure beautifully and is one of the most photographed industrial themed sculptures. This sculpture shows the industrial might of the Ruhr area. In the image above, the power plant in the background makes the image more meaningful as for the industrial art. I have visited the sculpture many times alone and with friends. It is a very good walking place. I love to visit this place at sunset where you can see another shade of this sculpture with lights.”
